New Arrangement: Morning Medley

LISTEN: Morning Medley vocal demo

I’ve combined my Doxology and When Morning Gilds the Skies arrangements to create an upbeat opener for any service – and especially an Easter or Easter sunrise service.

The Morning Medley is about 5 1/2 minutes long and is at 116BPM throughout – so set your click/multitracks and you’re ready to go.

I’ve arranged the Morning Medley to be lead by a single worship leader with a choir or praise team singing echo/background harmonies. My favorite part is the abrupt yet seamless key change that separates the two songs – make sure the worship leader singing this has a good ear 🙂

Pop piano: In addition to the typical HymnCharts piano part (intended for rehearsal and to carry the arrangement whether you have a small praise band or just piano accompaniment), the Morning Medley features pop piano-only sheet music. This is what I’d play in a full praise band – it’s a less rhythmic, sparser part that allows the arrangement to breath better within the wall of sound (several guitars and synths) you’d usually hear in a megachurch.
