When I was the worship leader at a new church plant a few years ago we’d do the advent candle lighting each week during December. A Scripture would be read then I’d lead the congregation in a verse and chorus of O Come O Come Emmanuel.
I’ve arranged this vibey version of O Come O Come Emmanuel to be extremely flexible for you and your ministry this Christmas:
1. Two vocal versions. I have a male worship leader and a female worship leader version. Each version has slightly different 3 part vocals (for instance, the male version has lower female harmony parts.) For variety you might have a male-led worship team lead two weeks and a female-led worship team lead two weeks (SAB and SATB parts are identical for each version.)
2. Two styles. One version is more guitar-driven with B3 organ and the other is piano-driven with strings. The orchestral parts follow the string parts, so use different instruments different weeks for variety – try a cello and flute one week, full strings another week, bass clarinet and violin another week, etc.
3. Single verse tracks. I’ve included tracks with just one verse and two choruses, as well as three verse and a four verse versions.
Download sheet music, chord charts, tracks and orchestration exclusively with a hymncharts subscription. You won’t find this arrangement on any other website.

I like it! We needed a slightly modernized version. Especially for churches without organs.
What’s the artist’s name who performs this?
He’s a talented session singer in Nashville who started out years ago in the group Truth.
You don’t know his name though? I really like his arrangement of that song.
I love it.
Love it!
